Job summary

Gatehouse is seeking a hardworking Dishwasher to join our fast-paced back-of-house team in a temperature-variable kitchen. The role is physically demanding and essential to keeping service ware, equipment, and the kitchen itself clean, sanitized, and ready for use.

Typical duties include operating dish machines, loading and storing dishware, and assisting with deliveries and prep when needed. The position offers benefits and stability within a renowned hospitality brand.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50+ lbs in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Stand, bend, reach and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Work in hot, wet and noisy environments.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dish machines and sanitize all dishes, tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Wash, organize, and properly store dishware in designated locations.
• Handle dishes and glassware carefully to avoid breakage.
• Monitor dish machine performance and report issues to kitchen leadership.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish pit, floors, prep stations, and trash/recycling areas.
• Remove trash and recyclables; keep dumpster area clean and tidy.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as scrubbing sinks, ovens, and kitchen surfaces.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and organized.
• Support the kitchen team by assisting with deliveries, prep work, and general maintenance.
• Stay productive during slower periods by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Take direction from chefs, supervisors, and managers as needed.

Pay Range

USD $16.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
