Job summary

Washington Gas is seeking a Gate Station Technician I to support safe operation and maintenance of gate stations and pressure regulating equipment. You will assist in inspections, installation work, and basic troubleshooting under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma, 18+ months of hands-on technical experience, and a valid driver’s license. You will perform varied station tasks, including yard work, and must pass required safety training and testing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 18+ months of hands-on technical experience preferred.
• Must pass gate station entrance testing and complete required safety training.
• Must be able to smell odorized natural gas and have basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation of gate station facilities and pressure regulating equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections of GSO facilities and equipment.
• Install tubing, conduit, wiring, piping, and framework for facilities.
• Operate valves as required and maintain tools and equipment.
