Riverside County is seeking a Gate Services Assistant (COR) to support landfill operations in the county. The role requires handling cash, documenting transactions, and ensuring safe, compliant site access for the public.
You will screen customers, enforce rules, weigh loads, and assist with traffic and access at the site, contributing to efficient operations and accurate reporting.
Education: Graduation from high school, possession of a Certificate of Proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D. examination.
Experience: Six months of customer service experience with primary responsibility for cash handling and interfacing with the public.

Experience: Six months of performing clerical work directly related to landfill operations.
Knowledge of: Simple recordkeeping procedures and basic arithmetic.
Ability to: Read, understand, and apply regulations pertaining to the use and operation of County landfill sites; categorize objects consistently according to verbal descriptions; perform arithmetic computations quickly and accurately; keep accurate, complete records according to prescribed procedures; explain and enforce regulations, policies and procedures in a tactful and courteous manner; accept responsibility and work independently; communicate effectively with others in investigating complaints and resolving disputes regarding landfill site operation.
License/Certificate Requirement: Possession of a valid Class C California Drivers.
