Job summary

Responsibilities

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers entering/exiting the back lot.
• Check accuracy of orders picked up by customers leaving.
• Thoroughly examine vehicles and note items visible inside.
• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.
• Walk the yard at end of shift and report suspicious activities or crimes.
• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts; request emergency personnel for high‑risk situations.

Job Skills / Requirements

Per Mar Security is looking for qualified candidates for gate Security Officers in a home improvement store setting. The best candidates will be comfortable working independently. You are detail oriented and will have basic technology skills including the ability to operate a tablet.

• Attend gate and provide access control for customers coming in and out of the back lot of the facility


• Check accuracy of orders picked up as customers leave the facility


• Thoroughly examine vehicles as they enter the premises and make note of existing items within vehicles


• Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules


• At end of shift, walk the yard and report any suspicious activities or criminal acts


• Address persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts


• Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations
