Job summary

Geisinger seeks a Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join our team in Scranton, PA. The role features a 7-on/7-off schedule, with support from a seasoned group of gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and advanced practitioners.

You will engage in teaching Fellows, residents, and medical students, and participate in clinical and endoscopic research as part of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Our physicians work within the EPIC system, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Join our GI hospitalist team in Scranton, PA.
• 7-on/7-off schedule with strong support from a multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists, hepatologists and advanced practitioners.
• Opportunities to teach fellows, residents and medical students and to participate in clinical and endoscopic research as faculty of Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
• Fully integrate with our EPIC electronic health record system.
• Collaborate with mature multi-disciplinary teams including Hepatitis C and Inflammatory Bowel Disease with embedded pharmacists.

Job Duties

• Join our team in Scranton, PA. This GI hospitalist position will offer support to our growing team in this area.
• Enjoy the flexibility of a 7on/7 off schedule with all the support of a well-established, stable team of Gastroenterologists, Hepatologists, and Advanced Practitioners.
• At Geisinger, our Gastroenterologists: Enjoy ample opportunity for professional growth including teaching fellows, residents and medical students, as well as participation in clinical and endoscopic research as faculty of the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
• Fully integrate with our robust electronic health record (EPIC).
• Work closely with mature multi-disciplinary teams; including Hepatitis C and Inflammatory Bowel Disease with imbedded pharmacists on each.

Position Details

• Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)
• Experience: Certification(s) and License(s) Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Pennsylvania.
