Job summary

Avita Health System in North Central Ohio seeks a Gastroenterologist to join a busy GI service line. The role includes a diverse caseload across GI and liver conditions, including IBD, liver disorders, GI bleeding, IBS, and cancers.

You will perform upper endoscopies and colonoscopies and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a modern facility. Competitive compensation with uncapped WRVU, signing incentives up to $200k, and relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship program.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • Current, unrestricted Ohio medical license (or eligible for licensure).
  • DEA registration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative medical services for GI and liver disorders.
  • Perform upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.
  • Manage acute and chronic GI conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists for integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records; participate in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities


  • Provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultative medical services to patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders.

  • Perform various endoscopic procedures including, but not limited to, upper endoscopy and colonoscopy.

  • Manage acute and chronic GI conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

  • Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.

  • Commit to continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in gastroenterology.

  • Actively participate in departmental and hospital committees as appropriate.



Qualifications


  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.

  • Completion of an accredited Gastroenterology Fellowship program.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology.

  • Current, unrestricted Ohio medical license (or eligible for licensure).

  • DEA registration.

  • Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
