MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center in Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology team serving Waterloo and Cedar Falls. This role centers on outpatient clinic care with possible inpatient consults in a supportive, mentorship-driven environment.

Join a collaborative GI team with experienced physicians, modern endoscopy suites, and a strong referral base. Monday–Friday schedule, limited call, and a clear path for professional growth and patient-centered

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner (FNP/AGNP) or Physician Assistant.
• Eligible for Iowa licensure.
• New graduates with GI interest encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication and team-based care skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage GI conditions.
• Provide patient education and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with gastroenterologists and care team.
• Participate in care coordination and quality improvement.
• Document care in the EMR system (Epic, if applicable).
