Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gastroenterology practice in Salem and Danvers. The role focuses on outpatient evaluation and management of GI patients, including consults, follow-ups, and sick visits, in a pod model.

The position is full-time, onsite, with a schedule from 8:00am to 5:00pm, totaling 40 hours weekly. Ideal candidates hold an NP or PA credential with 2+ years in GI and an active APRN-NP state license.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 2 years of NP or PA gastroenterology experience required.
• APRN-NP state license required.
• Onsite work with 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic results.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies.
• Provides high-quality and timely documentation including notes and discharge summaries.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate.
