Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Gastroenterology section seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) to deliver expert GI care, consult on complex cases, and manage patient panels within the Medical Service.

The APN will practice to the full extent of education and certification, collaborating with interprofessional teams to improve veteran health outcomes and timeliness of care.

Qualifications

• Education: Master's or Doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner; must graduate from approved school.
• License: Active, unrestricted NP license to practice in the US (incl. DC).
• Board Certification: FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, ACNP, AGACNP, or GNP from a recognized certifying body.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced clinical NP care in GI, including consultation and management.
• Practice to full extent of education, training and certification within VA guidelines.
