Job summary

Washington Gastroenterology is seeking a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our clinic in Washington. The LPN provides direct patient care under physician orders, performs triage, prepares patients for exams, documents health history and medications, and supports the medical team.

The ideal candidate will hold an active LPN license in Washington, BLS, and related gastroenterology or clinical office experience. This is an hourly position with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program.
• Current LPN license to practice in Washington state.
• Current BLS certification.
• Gastroenterology or clinical office experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage calls from patients and relay pertinent information to the Provider.
• Rooms and prepares the patient for exam by gathering vitals.
• Updates and documents medications, allergies, and health history in the medical record.
• Provides instruction and education to patients on procedures and tests.
• Assists with prescription refill requests and inventory.
• Schedules procedures, labs, and follow-up visits; coordinates with facilities.
• Performs phlebotomy tasks as directed and obtains pre-procedure clearances.
