Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a 6-month locum tenens assignment in Washington. The role combines outpatient clinic work, endoscopy procedures, and inpatient hospital coverage with an established GI team.

Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient GI care, ERCP and general GI procedures, hospital rounds, admissions, consultations, and managing 24-hour call shifts. Epic and Provation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified gastroenterologist eligible for licensure in Washington.
• Experience with inpatient and outpatient GI care and endoscopy.

We are seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a 6-month locum tenens opportunity in Washington! This position offers a mix of outpatient clinic, endoscopy procedures, and inpatient hospital coverage, with an established team of GI physicians.

Position Details

• Location: Washington

• Contract Length: 6 months

• Practice Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient

• Schedule: Weekday and weekend coverage, including 24-hour call

• Call Responsibilities: Rounding, admissions, consultations, and inpatient/outpatient GI procedures

• Clinic Volume: Approximately 16 patients per day

• Endoscopy Center Volume: Approximately 14–16 patients per day

• Hospital Census: Varies

• Patient Population: Adults

• Hospital Size: 253 beds

• EMR: Epic (experience preferred)

• GI Software: Provation (experience preferred)

• Clinical Support: Established team of GI physicians

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care

• Perform general GI and endoscopic procedures, including ERCP

• Conduct hospital rounds, admissions, and consultations

• Manage patients during assigned 24-hour call shifts
