Job summary

Uniquity Bio is seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development (Gastroenterology) to lead strategic clinical development across programs, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer in a fast-paced biotech setting. The role requires medical leadership from Phase 1 through registrational studies, collaborating with Regulatory Affairs, Translational Medicine, Biometrics, and Medical Affairs.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Specialty in Gastroenterology; board certification preferred.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical and/or biopharmaceutical experience.
• Demonstrated experience serving as clinical lead for gastroenterology development programs.
• Strong understanding of trial design, biostatistics, regulatory requirements, and benefit-risk assessment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical development strategy and execution for Uniquity programs across phases 1–3.
• Provide medical oversight of trials, safety monitoring, data review and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations and externals to ensure timely, high-quality study execution.
• Engage with regulators, key opinion leaders, investigators, and partners to inform development strategies.
• Mentor and develop clinical scientists and support business development activities.
