Job summary

United Digestive in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to handle coding, data entry and claims processing for the physicians and providers. You will scrub claims for clean submissions, work denials, communicate with hospitals and payers, and ensure accurate ICD/CPT coding and proper modifiers.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED with CPC certification and 3–4 years of coding or billing experience; EMR proficiency and strong knowledge of CPT/ICD codes; and

Qualifications

• CPC certification required; 3-4 years coding/billing experience.
• EMR software knowledge and operation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of claims questions and denials and ability to respond effectively.

Responsibilities

• Claim scrubs for clean claim submissions.
• Work appeals/denials in a timely manner and resolve issues.
• Communicate with billing company, hospitals, and payers as required.
• Code and submit claims with correct ICD/CPT codes and modifiers.
• Review patient records to ensure accurate coding and billing.
• Participate in coding audits and ongoing education.
