Job summary

UPMC Central Pa is offering gastroenterology opportunities with flexible focus areas including Outpatient IBD clinic, GI hospitalist, ERCP-trained roles, Hepatology and General GI. Positions include hospital-based collaboration with Harrisburg-based hospitals and community settings, offering a broad scope of procedures and a strong support network.

Ideal candidates are board eligible/certified, with ERCP/EUS preferred; teamwork and adaptability across locations are essential.

Qualifications

• Board certified or eligible to practice gastroenterology.
• ERCP and EUS experience are preferred but not required.
• Must be team-oriented and adaptable to various physicians and advanced providers.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient IBD clinic with 90% of procedures in the system.
• GI hospitalist duties with 12-hour shifts and urgent care focus.

Select your setting:

• Harrisburg-based hospitals: Working side-by-side with higher-acuity patients, consulting with surgical oncologists and colorectal surgeons. Last year, conducted 400 ERCPs and 350 EUS with a waiting list of patients needing care.
• Community Hospital: Foster strong relationships within a local setting by joining an existing practice that includes both physicians and advanced care providers, delivering essential care to your community.

Professional Skills:

• Board certified / Board eligible
• ERCP and EUS are preferred
• Experience not necessary
• Team-oriented with the adaptability to work within the full spectrum of physician colleague experience, as well as advanced care providers in all locations.
