Job summary

Srimatrix Health in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Gastroenterologist (GI Physician) for a locum/contract role with a weekday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position focuses on inpatient GI procedures with minimal rounding and no call, weekends, or holidays.

The physician will perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including endoscopy and dilation, while collaborating with EPIC-enabled teams and ensuring timely charting.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Active or eligible New Mexico medical license.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures.
• Conduct upper and lower endoscopic procedures.
• Evaluate and manage inpatient gastroenterology cases.
• Perform esophageal dilation and foreign body removal procedures.
• Provide occasional inpatient consultations when clinically necessary.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
