Sutter Medical Group (SMG) in Folsom, CA is recruiting a BE/BC Gastroenterologist to join a new facility opening Summer 2027. The role emphasises general GI care with opportunities to develop subspecialty interests and to participate in a meaningful GME program mentoring GI fellows.

Ideal candidates have CA licensure or plan to obtain it, fellowship training, and board eligibility or certification. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered, along with relocation and sign-on options.

Qualifications

• Desire to participate in teaching and mentorship of GI fellows is required.
• At least 2 years of practice experience strongly preferred.
• Interest or expertise in Hepatology, IBD, or Motility strongly welcomed.
• CA DEA is required for practice.
• MD or DO degree holder.
• Completion of Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• California medical licensure (or applying/planning to apply).

Responsibilities

• Join in a general gastroenterology practice in a brand-new facility.
• Incorporate subspecialty interests into clinical care as desired.
• Teach and mentor GI fellows and participate in GME activities.
• Collaborate with a multi-specialty team to deliver high-quality care.
• Maintain an active referral network and ensure excellent patient access.
