Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join a team-based GI practice in Utah County. You will provide high-quality GI care in clinics and endoscopy locations and collaborate with physicians, APPs, and nurses to deliver outstanding patient experiences.

The role includes teaching medical students and residents, leading new academic programs, and sharing call responsibility with incentives for extra shifts. Utah license or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with Gastroenterology subspecialty.
• Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one.
• ERCP experience welcomed but not required.
• Visa sponsorship considered on an individual basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide GI clinical care in an employed medical group setting and endoscopy locations.
• Share call schedule at minimum of 1:5 with additional pay for extra shifts.
• Teach medical students and residents; lead in developing new academic programs.
• Participate in credentialing processes and pursue leadership opportunities.
• Support growth of GI practice in Utah Valley Clinic.

Education

MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

Residency training in Internal Medicine

Fellowship training in Gastroenterology

Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine with subspecialty in Gastroenterology

Active Utah medical license or ability to obtain one

ERCP experience welcomed but not required

Visa sponsorship reviewed on individual basis
