Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a Gastroenterologist to join a collaborative, multi-specialty group practice in Dedham, MA. The role involves comprehensive gastroenterology care, coordination with primary care and surgical colleagues, and commitment to patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or School of Osteopathic Medicine.
• Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire.
• Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, and prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams in management of patient care and continuity with outside health/social agencies.
• Acts as liaison between primary care providers and specialists (surgeons, orthopedics, ENT) to coordinate patient care.
• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups on health care needs and participates in health education programs.
