Job summary
Gastroenterologist at VA Fresno Healthcare System is sought to provide comprehensive GI care for veterans, including outpatient, inpatient, and nursing home settings. The physician will perform GI procedures, participate in education/research, and align with VACCHCS quality initiatives; requires MD, unrestricted US license, and GI board certification/eligibility.

Qualifications
- MD degree from VA-approved medical school.
- Current full and unrestricted medical license in the US.
- Residency in core GI training approved by ABMS/AOA.
- Board certified or eligible in Gastroenterology.
Responsibilities
- Provide GI services for outpatients, inpatients, and nursing home patients.
- Perform GI procedures including EGD and colonoscopy with possible dilation and related studies.
- Lead in education and research activities within the VA Fresno program.
- Coordinate with VACCHCS and other services to optimize patient care.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
