Job summary

University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine's Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology seeks a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to join UT Health East Texas in Tyler, Texas. Candidates will engage in clinical teaching and patient care with a 4-physician GI team and 5 APPs.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Gastroenterology (GI)
• Strong commitment to patient care and teaching
• Experience in an academic clinical faculty setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Join a four-GI physician team with five APPs
• Schedule one clinic day and four OR-blocked procedure days (Mon-Fri)
• Provide inpatient call one week every 2–3 months
• Perform outpatient endoscopy and manage daily patient volumes
• Teach and mentor trainees (students, residents, fellows)
• Utilize Epic EMR and Ambience AI to optimize documentation and workflow
