Job summary

Independence Health System seeks a gastroenterologist to diagnose and manage a broad range of GI conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes performing endoscopic procedures such as EGD and colonoscopy and collaborating with primary care and specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Board certification or eligibility in gastroenterology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Strong clinical and procedural skillset.
• ERCP experience welcomed but not required.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of GI conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Perform endoscopic procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and other diagnostic/therapeutic interventions.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in shared call coverage.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation per system standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical program development.
• Blend of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative services.
• Leverage established referral base with strong primary care network support.
