Job summary

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Gastroenterologist to deliver direct inpatient and outpatient GI care at UHealth locations and Jackson Memorial Hospital. The role includes outpatient clinics, endoscopic procedures, and teaching on inpatient services.

Requirements include MD with US internal medicine training, completion of a 3-year ACGME gastroenterology fellowship, and 1 year of advanced endoscopy; Florida license or eligibility and DEA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• MD degree with US internal medicine internship and residency.
• Completed 3 year ACGME US gastroenterology fellowship.
• Completed 1 year of non-ACGME advanced endoscopy fellowship.
• Board certification or eligibility in gastroenterology (BC/BE).
• Valid/unrestricted Florida medical license or eligible to apply.
• Valid DEA licensure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outpatient clinical practice at UHealth locations and hospitals.
• Perform core and non-core endoscopic services for patients.
• Rotate on night and weekend call proportionate to faculty.
• Provide inpatient rounding and teaching at UHealth Towers and JMH.
• Provide advanced endoscopic call proportionate to other physicians.
