About the Position

The faculty will be responsible for the growth of a General Gastroenterology practice either at a site of our hospital partner, Ascension Seton, or at the future site of The University of Texas Medical Center. The position will comprise an inpatient gastroenterology consult service, outpatient clinics, and endoscopy. There are no scheduled outpatient clinics during inpatient weeks. The position includes protected time for academic activities and may include teaching residents. The hospital and clinics are located in Central Austin.

Qualifications
  • MD degree with Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if within 2 years of residency) in Internal Medicine.
  • Candidates with training in advanced endoscopy are encouraged to apply.
  • Training and experience in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Eligibility for appointment at the (Clinical) Assistant Professor level.
