Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC seeks a Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens assignment in Petoskey, Michigan. The physician will perform outpatient and inpatient GI endoscopy (upper and lower), provide inpatient GI consultations, and cover 24-hour weekend call. Standard weekday hours apply.

Board-certified or eligible, active MI license and DEA are required, with ACLS certification and fellowship in GI. Local candidates only and COVID vaccination are requested; Cerner EMR is used on site.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or Board-eligible in gastroenterology.
• Active Michigan medical license and CSR; Universal License acceptable if dates are 60+ days out.
• Active DEA license.
• ACLS certification required.
• Completed GI Fellowship with 2–3 years of experience preferred.
• Local candidates within driving distance.

Responsibilities

• Perform outpatient and inpatient GI endoscopy (upper and lower).
• Provide inpatient GI consultations.
• Cover 24-hour weekend call (Sat/Sun) with no weeknight call.
• Document encounters in Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with on-site physicians and APPs to deliver comprehensive care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Experience: Completed Fellowship with minimum 2–3 years of experience required
