Job summary

Locums in Lakewood, CO seeks a GI physician for locum tenens coverage at a Level 1 trauma center. The role includes performing ERCP, EUS and diagnostic endoscopy for GI conditions, and managing GI bleeding with inpatient consults for adults, geriatrics and adolescents.

You will cover 24/7 on-call shifts (7a–7a) with collaboration from intensivists, hospitalists and trauma services, in a high-acuity inpatient setting. Credentialing typically 60–90 days; EPIC is the EMR used.

Qualifications

• Perform endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, and endoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of GI conditions.
• Manage and evaluate patients with GI bleeding and other acute gastrointestinal problems.
• Provide consultative services for adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Cover 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a) to ensure continuous gastroenterology coverage, including weekends.
• Collaborate with 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services in a Level 1 Trauma center.
