Job summary

Korzen Health is recruiting an experienced Gastroenterologist to join a thriving GI program at a large Northeast Texas hospital. You will join a collaborative team of 6 GI physicians, a GI hospitalist, and APRNs supporting a busy practice with high patient demand.

Qualifications

• Open to General and Advanced GI candidates.
• Advanced ERCP or EUS preferred, but not required.
• Average of 250+ procedures per month.

Responsibilities

• Perform colonoscopies and EGDs as part of a high-volume practice.
• Assist with ERCP/EUS procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with a team of GI physicians, APRNs and hospitalists to provide patient care.
• Contribute to a referral-rich, well-established setting.

Job description

Korzen Health is partnering with one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Northeast Texas to recruit an experienced Gastroenterologist to join a thriving, well-established practice. Due to continued growth in the area, this 35-bed, Level III Trauma hospital is seeking an additional physician to join its busy GI team.

Join a collaborative team of 6 full-time Gastroenterologists, 1 full-time GI Hospitalist, and 3 APRNs, with strong support infrastructure and a steady, well-established referral base.

Practice Details

• 4.5 clinical work days per week - 3 days of procedures, 1.5 days of clinic
• Call schedule of 1:7, with dedicated NP and nurse line support for all calls
• Open to both General and Advanced GI candidates - Advanced ERCP or EUS preferred, but not required
• Average of 250+ procedures per month, including:
  • Colonoscopy
  • EGD
  • Polypectomy
  • PillCam
  • Advanced procedures (ERCP capabilities)

Practice Volume

• Busy, well-established practice with a full primary care referral base
• Average 3-6 month wait time for new patients
