Job summary

Join Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican, San Martín Campus, as a GI Technician.

You will prepare procedure rooms, assist physicians with equipment, monitor patient comfort, and ensure strict infection control by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians, involve parents where appropriate, and set up for all GI lab procedures while verifying equipment before and after use.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our GI Technician , you will provide critical support and direct assistance during gastrointestinal procedures, ensuring a sterile, safe, and efficient environment for patient care.

Every day you will expertly prepare procedure rooms, assist physicians with equipment handling and maintenance, monitor patient comfort, and meticulously clean and sterilize instruments to uphold the highest standards of infection control.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a vigilant, proactive demeanor, contributing significantly to successful diagnostic and therapeutic GI interventions.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate/GED

• One (1) year hospital experience.

• Basic Life Support - CPR

• Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
