Main Purpose

The Gasoline Operator is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and physical execution of gasoline and gasoline components within the Houston operations team. Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate the movement of gasoline and gasoline components across terminals, pipelines, and vessels, ensuring alignment with trading positions and contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate daily with traders, operations, risk analysts, and counterparties to execute blend economics, send nominations, and manage loading, discharge, and delivery schedules.

  • Coordinate with Senior Blenders to ensure product specifications are met in the most economical way (full blending training will be provided).
  • Prepare and issue timely instructions to terminals, carriers, and third-party service providers.
  • Track shipment and delivery documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, logistics bottlenecks, or operational issues in real time.
  • Maintain accurate records within the Pluto ETRM and other scheduling systems.
  • Support month-end reconciliation and reporting processes in coordination with the operations and trading teams.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with terminal operators, carriers, and counterparties.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of relevant scheduling experience in gasoline and/or naphtha, gained at a trading house, refiner, or similar commercial/physical trading environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of clean products logistics, including terminal operations, pipeline nominations, and marine/inland transportation.
  • Proficiency with the Pluto ETRM system (or similar scheduling/ETRM platforms), and strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent English language skills (native or equivalent to C2 level, oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Additional experience in product blending is a plus, though not required - training will be provided for candidates without direct blending exposure.
Attributes for Success
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy under time pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
