Job summary

Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking an engineer to provide technical support to operations on new projects and existing facilities. You will perform hydraulic modeling, determine material requirements, and ensure regulatory compliance with CFR 49 Part 192.

The role involves analysis, project support, and coordination with multiple teams, with a focus on safety and efficiency across the service territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• 3+ years industry experience or equivalent training.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Proficient with natural gas pipeline operations and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and speech.
• Familiar with CFR 49 Part 192 and related regulations.
• Experience reading engineering plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering expertise on field projects and equipment specs.
• Direct oversight of pipeline design day model and related requirements.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling for distribution and transmission systems.
• Support development of new projects and facility identification for opportunities.
• Assist with regulatory permitting and updates to drawings and records.
• Support operations with project execution and emergency response readiness.
