Job summary

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company seeks a Gas Supply Analyst to manage gas supply contracts, analyze proposals, and support regulatory reporting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years gas and/or electric industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing gas supply and pipeline transportation contracts to ensure compliance, performance, and cost-effective supplies.
• Analyze and evaluate gas commodity and pipeline proposals from suppliers.
• Use pipeline EBB for gas supply nominations and accessing pipeline information.
• Prepare transaction confirmations for gas purchases and record transactions.
• Analyze regulations and filings related to gas supply at FERC and Kentucky PSC.
• Prepare regulatory filing data and reports for state and federal proceedings.
• Prepare complex monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and regulatory reports; support monthly close.
• Coordinate annual procedures manual review and updates; perform analyses.
• Read industry publications to stay informed on market trends.
• Share findings with the department.
• Assist in negotiating confirmations and new gas NAESB agreements.
• Use EE Plexos and other planning tools to develop gas supply plans.
• Develop understanding of tariff services (Rate FT, Rider TS-2, pooling, LGDS).
• Support activities to manage these programs.
• Confirm accuracy of volumes scheduled by third-party suppliers.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure GTW and GNR apps work properly.
• Propose and test modifications to applications to ensure tariff compliance and reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned; complies with policies and standards.
