Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked with a wide range of products and to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service that helps customers find what they need.

In this entry level role you’ll work hands-on with merchandising and inventory tasks, move products from pallets to shelves, and collaborate with leadership to keep areas organized, safe, and ready for customers during overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• Basic tech literacy and comfort using common store devices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Team player with a customer-first mindset.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work overnight shifts when required.
• Experience with pallet handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
