Job summary

Meijer in Ohio is hiring an entry-level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked and the store runs smoothly. You will stock groceries, move products to correct shelves, and help keep back areas clean and organized.

You will work with store leadership to complete tasks on time, interact with customers kindly, and participate in overnight prep runs for the day ahead.

Qualifications

• Entry level; no degree required.
• Ability to learn basic processes and technology.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets to shelves accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back areas.
• Work with leadership to complete areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Provide friendly interactions with customers as needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day.

What You'll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products

• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately

• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas

• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed

• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly

What You Bring

• You're comfortable learning and using basic technology

• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus
