Job summary

Calor Gas is recruiting a Customer Engineer to install and service bulk LPG tanks for customers in the UK. The role is homebased in the Birmingham/Coventry area, with travel to rural customer sites using a provided company vehicle.

We require ACS Gas qualification and a full UK driving licence. You will participate in a standby rota for emergency responses, with enhanced pay for out-of-hours work and a range of employee benefits.

Qualifications

• ACS Gas qualification required or equivalent.
• Experience in dealing with customers and providing high service levels.
• Understanding of LPG installation and LPG bulk tanks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain Calor bulk tanks and assets at customer sites.
• Travel to customer sites with provided vehicle to meet service standards.
• Participate in standby rota for gas emergencies outside normal hours; additional pay applies.

Salary: £29,725 - £43,000 per annum plus benefits (salary dependant on skills, experience and qualifications)

The Customer Engineering team at Calor Gas are looking to recruit an engaging and proactive Gas Engineer providing engineering services and emergency response to Calor customers in the area.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Installing and maintaining Calor’s bulk tanks and assets at customer sites.
• Travel (van and fuel provided) in order to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base
• The role requires participation in a standby rota to respond to gas emergencies out of normal working hours. Therefore, you will need to have a flexible, positive, and adaptable approach. Additional rates of pay apply.

As Such We Would Like You To Have/be

• ACS Gas Qualified.
• Experience in dealing with customers and providing excellent customer care.
• Any relevant gas engineering experience would be considered useful, and an understanding of LPG and the installation and maintenance of bulk LPG tanks and cylinders would be a distinct advantage.
• Have knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness
• Be able to follow procedures and instructions
• Full industry specific training and support will be given to the right individual.
• A full UK driving licence is also essential.
