Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a qualified QC Analyst to support gas distribution investigations and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The role involves audits, documentation, and collaboration with contractor crews on site.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years in gas or utility settings, and travel between MA/CT/NH as needed. A valid driver’s license and Operator Qualifications are required for on-site inspections.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas construction standards, work practices and safety requirements.
• Knowledge of assessment and audit protocols and procedures.
• Familiar with gas business information and office automation.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills.
• MS Office suite proficiency and ability to adapt to PC tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe work practices are implemented per Health and Safety Handbook and Contractor Safety Manual.
• Verifies work activities follow Gas Distribution standards and are performed by qualified personnel.
• Verifies that work packages are in order with procedures, mark out ticket, and mapping information.
• Monitors resources in the re-dig program.
• Supports onboarding of contractor crews and Operator Qualification Plan compliance.
• Identifies non-compliant conditions and recommends corrective actions.
• Documents inspection results accurately.
• Oversees the Company’s gas quality control programs.
• Contributes to the annual gas inspection plan including random inspections and re-dig activities.
• Supports ERP roles for gas or electric during events.
