Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a field operator responsible for daily operations of processing plants and compressor stations in North Dakota. You will measure production, operate equipment, perform repairs with assistance, and take callouts to ensure continuous, safe operation.

Responsibilities include documentation, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to laws, regulations, and company policies while upholding Kinder Morgan's safety standards and core values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• Basic math skills (simple arithmetic).
• Apply common sense to day-to-day operations.
• Ability to make quick, sound decisions in adverse conditions.
• Valid state operating license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record production at various locations.
• Operate processing plant, gas compressors, pumps, and related equipment.
• Perform minor repairs and assist with major repairs on compressors and equipment.
• Take callouts and respond in a timely manner.
• Assist maintenance and other company personnel as needed.
• Ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency of engines and equipment.
• Ensure product and gas meet customer specs.
• Record production readings and complete documentation for activities.
• Report downtime to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain company vehicle and perform other duties as assigned.
