Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation (MPC) is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to ensure safe and efficient operation of process, storage, loading, and unloading systems at our Butler, Oklahoma facility. You will manage electronic, computerized, or manual control systems and monitor performance.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, willingness to pass drug screening and background checks, and ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, valid driver's license, and ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Board Operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors instrument panels and regulates process variables to maintain design operating parameters.
• Oversees and reads equipment controlling temperature and product flow.
• Inspects gauges, troubleshoots, and performs routine maintenance as needed.
• Records data from equipment readings and ensures compliance with PSM and permit requirements.
• Assists with issuing and monitoring safe work permits after qualification.
