Gfoat is seeking a skilled field technician to safely perform a wide spectrum of moderately difficult pipeline assignments in the Texas area. You will apply technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment while protecting the environment, property, and public safety. You are accountable for quantity, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities include assisting the Superintendent with accurate reports, communicating with city entities and contractors, and conducting O.Q. field assessments.
Safely performs a wide spectrum of moderately difficult assignments requiring technical evaluation, innovation, and judgment. Applies knowledge and experience to solve complex problems. Manages job sites, protecting the environment, property, and public. Is accountable for quantity, quality, and productivity.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Operator Qualification Tier 4 Certification within 12 months, Poly-Fusion Certification from an accredited institution, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months. A valid Texas Driver License in good standing.
Positions in this class typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, driving, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. People in this position may be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays; in all weather conditions; under hazardous conditions; on congested roadways, obstructed roads, high structures; around operating equipment; with chemicals; and with the physical ability and stamina to perform strenuous physical work. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors. Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation, body fluids, chemicals, inadequate lighting, work space restrictions and intense noises. Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently.
Employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, Life/ADD and half of dependent coverage, and with TMRS participation at 2/1 @ 5%. Vacation and Sick Leave accrual are provided in accordance with current Personnel Policies and FSLA.
