Job summary

TSMC Arizona is seeking a highly motivated professional to support our Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (GMS). In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMS equipment, directly contributing to the safety and operational efficiency of our facilities.

You will collaborate with the Emergency Response Team during alarm events and participate in safety audits, daily rounds, and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4-5 years of technical proficiency with GMS monitoring equipment and systems.
• 4 years of experience with safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• 4-5 years of hands‑on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMS equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, test, calibrate, and troubleshoot GMS equipment including detectors, alarms, and control systems.
• Support Emergency Response Team during alarm events with technical expertise.
• Ensure safety policies, JHA, LOTO, PPE compliance; follow OSHA/NFPA standards.
• Conduct daily rounds, safety inspections, record readings, monitor gas/chemical systems.
• Maintain documentation and audits; support safety and quality initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing safety and equipment data.

Job Description

TSMC Arizona is seeking a highly motivated professional to support our Toxic Gas Monitoring Systems (GMS). In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMS equipment, directly contributing to the safety and operational efficiency of our facilities. You will collaborate closely with the Emergency Response Team during alarm events, offering essential technical support and expertise. Responsibilities

• System Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform installation, maintenance, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of toxic gas monitoring (TGM) equipment, including detectors, alarms, and control systems.
• Emergency Response Support: Collaborate closely with the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during alarm events, providing essential technical support and expertise to identify and resolve issues.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to all safety policies and protocols, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Ensure all work complies with federal/state standards like OSHA and NFPA.
• Operational Rounds: Conduct daily rounds, perform safety inspections, record readings, and monitor online gas and chemical systems.
• Documentation and Auditing: Maintain accurate, up-to-date procedures and documentation, and perform regular audits to support safety and quality initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive quality and cost-saving initiatives by analyzing safety and equipment data and participating in continuous improvement projects.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position require the ability to perform basic physical activities associated with working in a cleanroom or advanced manufacturing environment, including but not limited to:

• Walking and standing for extended periods of time.
• Reaching, bending, and stooping to access equipment, materials, and workstations.
• Handling, positioning, or operating cleanroom tools, components, or materials.
• Wearing required cleanroom garments and personal protective equipment.
• Performing routing or repetitive motions consistent with cleanroom procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4-5 years of technical proficiency with GMS monitoring equipment and systems.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands‑on experience with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GMS equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree.
• Experience in a similar role within the semiconductor industry or a related field.
