Generator Supercenter of Denver is looking for an experienced Gas Line Installer to support residential standby generator installations throughout the Denver metro area. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience installing natural gas and propane fuel lines, who takes pride in clean workmanship, code‑compliant installations, and professional customer interaction.

The right candidate will understand that gas piping is not just about getting from point A to point B — it needs to be safe, serviceable, inspection‑ready, and aesthetically pleasing for the customer.

Responsibilities

• Install natural gas and propane lines for standby generator projects
• Work with common gas piping materials and systems, including black iron pipe, underground poly pipe, CSST, regulators, shutoffs, sediment traps/drip legs, and related fittings
• Assist with layout and routing of gas lines in a way that meets code and is visually acceptable to homeowners
• Use and maintain gas piping tools and equipment, including pipe threading machines, MegaPress / press fitting applications, and standard gas piping hand tools
• Perform pressure testing and leak testing as required
• Support permit and inspection readiness
• Coordinate with internal team members, project managers, electricians, plumbers, inspectors, and homeowners
• Maintain a clean and safe job site
• Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers

Ideal Experience

Preferred candidates will have experience with:

• Natural gas and propane piping
• Residential generator installations or similar fuel‑piping work
• Black iron pipe layout, cutting, threading, and installation
• Underground poly gas line installation
• CSST installation practices
• Gas regulators and pressure requirements
• Pipe threader machine operation
• MegaPress or similar press system applications
• Reading or following gas line layouts, installation notes, and job scopes
• Working around finished homes where clean routing and appearance matter

Requirements

• Strong understanding of safe gas piping practices
• Ability to produce clean, professional, code‑conscious installations
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to explain routing or installation details professionally to homeowners when needed

• Ability to lift, carry, trench, mount, secure, and work with piping materials and tools

Compensation

This position pays $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and ability to work independently.

Higher compensation will be considered for candidates who can confidently lead gas line installations, work with both natural gas and propane systems, operate threading equipment, use MegaPress applications, and consistently produce inspection‑ready work.
