Job summary

Wade Trim in New Orleans, LA seeks a Natural Gas Engineer to join our ICE Team to advance infrastructure in the Southern region. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required, with 2–6 years of natural gas experience preferred.

The role emphasizes collaboration, design of gas projects, site observations, reports, and client communication. A flexible hybrid-remote schedule is available after 30 days of employment, with a supportive culture and opportunities to impact communities

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of Natural Gas experience required or preferred.
• Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D required.
• Engineer-in-Training or Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Experience with GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design natural gas projects including distribution mains and pipelines.
• Perform civil/site design and utility conflict analysis.
• Prepare design reports and construction plans to standards.
• Coordinate specifications and permit submittals.
• Estimate project quantities and costs; document changes.
• Provide on-site observations and client communications.
• Support proposals and project manager activities.
• Attend client and staff meetings and trainings.
