Job summary

California Mantel & Fireplace Inc. is seeking a dedicated Fireplace Technician to service, diagnose, and repair gas, wood, and electric fireplaces and inserts at customers' homes.

You will handle preventative maintenance, warranty callbacks, and post-install follow-ups while keeping clear communication with homeowners and our office. You will need a valid California driver's license, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and be comfortable diagnosing electrical and gas systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair gas, wood, and electric fireplaces and inserts.
• Troubleshoot ignition systems, thermostats, blowers, gas valves, and venting.
• Perform preventative maintenance and annual cleanings.
• Handle warranty service and post-install callbacks.
• Identify needed parts and coordinate parts ordering with the office.
• Communicate findings, repairs, and next steps to customers and the office.
• Follow safety practices and manufacturer procedures on every call.

Job description

As a Fireplace Technician, your focus is service, repair, and diagnostics rather than new installs. You'll visit customers' homes to troubleshoot and repair gas, wood, and electric fireplaces and inserts, handle preventative maintenance, and take care of warranty and post-install callbacks.

You'll be the friendly, knowledgeable face customers see after the sale, so clear communication with homeowners and our office matters just as much as technical skill.
