Job summary

Global Compression Services LLC seeks a Shop Tech in Bloomfield, NM to repair and maintain machinery and electrical equipment in the natural gas sector, including ignition, governor, lubrication and engine control systems.

You will test and troubleshoot devices, remove/install parts, use hand tools, laptops and diagnostic software, and read basic blueprints and wiring diagrams. We offer health, dental, vision, life and other benefits; travel up to 5% and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability read, interpret and apply communications in written, verbal and diagram form.
• Work safely, effectively and with high quality.

• Complete Work Steps assessment successfully.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot ignition, lubrication, governors and other devices used in the natural gas industry.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• Use hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, laptops, diagnostic software to troubleshoot and repair systems.
• Understand basic blueprints, wiring diagrams, and repair/operating instructions.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
