CenterPoint Energy is looking for a Gas Engineer Summer Intern to join our team in Houston, TX. You will have the ability to assist engineers with a variety of projects.

This internship offers exposure to public improvement projects with training, professional growth opportunities, and involvement in essential utility operations at CenterPoint Energy’s Houston headquarters.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student (sophomore, junior or senior preferred) pursuing an ABET-accredited Bachelor of Science in Industrial, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• No prior work experience required; valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Research the status of various public improvement projects.
• Update Access databases and Excel spreadsheets concerning project status.
• Provide project completion data for public improvement projects.
