Job summary

Spire Inc. is hiring a Construction Crewman for the Hattiesburg, MS area. The role focuses on field tasks for safe operation of gas distribution systems and may support other Operations departments.

Responsibilities include installing mains and services, training with hand and power tools, and assisting with repair, relocation, and station maintenance. Travel and after-hours work may be required to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Supervisor with installation of gas mains, services and meter loops.
• Operate heavy equipment and power tools such as backhoes and jackhammers.
• Signal equipment operators and perform maintenance and welding assistance.
• Fuse plastic pipe and support other company operations as needed.
• Work in various environments and travel to other locations as required.
