Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills for coordinating with contractors and landowners.
• Ability to perform field inspections in varying weather conditions.
• Experience reading utility plans, blueprints, and drawings to ensure compliance.
• Knowledge of OSHA and pipeline safety standards and field practices.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pipeline and gas distribution field activities to ensure OSHA and 49 C.F.R. Part 192 compliance.
• Conduct visual inspections of pipeline installations to verify standards and specs.
• Review engineering drawings, codes, and schedules to confirm regulated construction.
• Apply independent judgment to ensure safety standards are met and issue stop-work orders when needed.
• Perform quality control checks on contractor work and documentation.
• Oversee excavation, backfill, pipe installation, testing, and activation tasks.
