Job summary

Team Construction LLC seeks a mid-career laborer for heavy construction in the gas distribution sector. You will perform site preparation, operate excavators and loaders, and assist with pipe installation and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include equipment handling, digging, trench preparation, and supporting tradesmen on demanding outdoor projects. Willingness to work long hours and travel within a 4-hour radius is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be efficient at operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, etc.).
• Read and understand plans, specifications, safety and quality standards.
• Detect unsafe or hazardous conditions of equipment and work environment.
• Display a willing attitude to learn from others and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute job deliverables according to customer specifications and contract requirements.
• Ensure all project work is compliant with installation standards and is performed safely and correctly.
• Promote and monitor the safety of team members.
• Prepare sites to optimize construction work procedures.
• Load and unload equipment and materials; restock and distribute supplies.
• Assist in installing pipes and drains; measure, cut, join and bed pipes.
• Erect temporary structures and fill potholes as needed.
• Use hand tools to cut and shape materials; identify utilities and hazards.
• Place traffic signs and coordinate with equipment operators; maintain equipment safety.
