Job summary

NationaLease is seeking a motivated diesel technician to perform advanced diagnostics, full preventive maintenance, and repairs on commercial trucks and box trucks. You will help ensure fleet safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, working on drivetrain, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years diesel technician experience.
• Experience performing full PM services independently.
• Strong knowledge of brake systems, clutch systems, drivetrain components, steering and suspension, and electrical diagnostics.
• Experience with wheel end repairs and box truck electrical systems.
• Ability to perform OEM brake jobs and major component replacements.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred (training available).
• Must pass pre-employment and DOT drug screenings.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, highly skilled technician to perform advanced diagnostics, full preventative maintenance (PM) services, and comprehensive mechanical and electrical repairs on commercial trucks and box trucks. This role ensures fleet and customer vehicle safety, reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is capable of working independently on complex systems including drivetrain, brake, suspension, and electrical components.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance (inspections, lubrication, fluid/filter changes) per standards

Inspect and repair clutch, brake, and 5th wheel systems

Diagnose and repair basic HVAC systems

Perform steering and suspension repairs and component replacements

Assist with drivetrain repairs (drivelines, U-joints, differentials)

Complete safety and emissions inspections as authorized

Accurately document work on repair orders and reports

Safely operate tools and diagnostic equipment

Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of diesel technician experience diagnosing and repairing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks.
• Proven experience performing full PM services independently.
• Strong knowledge of brake systems (air and hydraulic), clutch systems, drive train components, steering and suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics.
• Experience with wheel end repairs and box truck electrical systems.
• Ability to perform OEM brake jobs and major component replacements.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred (training available).
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug screenings.
