Airgas in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Production Operator to join our team at the Elmwood filling facility. You will help examine, test, fill, weigh, and document compressed and liquefied gas cylinders while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 18+ years, a high school diploma or equivalent, and willingness to work shifts. Prior plant operations experience and forklift competency are preferred, with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in plant operations, industrial maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
• Technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
• Industrial Gas Experience.
• Excellent attention to detail and thoughtful organizational skills.
• Comfort with operating a forklift safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect equipment for filling, weighing, and testing gas cylinders.
• Support safety and quality standards during loading/unloading of cylinder gases.
• Operate and maintain pumping or repackaging equipment.
• Perform pre-fill and post-fill inspections and tests before release.
• Maintain accurate cylinder filling records and comply with regulations.
• Conduct regular plant checks to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Collaborate on inventory management and housekeeping.
