Job summary

Burckhardt Compression US is hiring a Shop Technician in New Iberia, LA to service and maintain gas engine compressor packages and related equipment across multiple applications. The role involves on-site field service, troubleshooting, and major equipment overhauls as needed.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of field experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong mechanical aptitude, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.
3–5 years' field experience or related training.
Valid driver’s license; basic English literacy.
Willingness to operate and maintain gas compressors safely.

Responsibilities

Interpret compressor performance runs and OEM software.
Provide preventative and corrective field mechanical service on site at client locations.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment, packages, and systems.
Provide leadership and training to new Field Technicians.
Assist in equipment Start-up/Commissioning.
Ensure safety and environmental compliance on all tasks.
