Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Gas & Chemical Technical Facilities Engineer in Santa Clara, CA. The role provides technical leadership for planning, design, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of gas and chemical delivery equipment and related safety systems.

Requires BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 7+ years in semiconductor gas facilities management or equivalent. Travel and relocation considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering required.
• 7 years of semiconductor or high purity hazardous gas facilities management experience; or equivalent experience of more than 10 years of semiconductor gas facilities management.
• Working knowledge of gas distribution system and PLC based controls systems; familiarity with Fire, Building and Environmental codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operations, maintenance and safety of all G&C delivery systems, GLSS & P&A to maximize uptime.
• Coordinate with 3rd party providers to ensure maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and safety systems.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure systems operate to design specifications.
